PACKETVIDEO MUSIC CLIENT POWERS VERSATILE MUSIC SERVICE FOR TELIA DENMARK

SAN DIEGO – July 16, 2009 – Subscribers within the TeliaSonera Denmark mobile network now have access to Sonera Music Play, a flexible music service from PacketVideo (PV) that offers music subscriptions and music side-loading from a PC. TeliaSonera launched similar music services in Sweden in late 2008 in Norway and Finland before summer, and continues working with PV to expand the offering to its additional regional brands over the next year.

The new music service includes a downloadable library of more than four million music tracks, which consumers can access in unlimited quantity for a single low monthly subscription fee. Once downloaded, subscribers can play the music files on up to three PCs and two mobile devices.

Telia Denmarks Music Play employs PV’s proven music solution, including client software for mobile devices and PCs that enables users to seamlessly synchronize music files between their PC and handset without the need to change file formats or pay separate payload or delivery fees. Additionally, the service is available on a broad number of Windows Mobile-, Symbian- and Java-based handsets, including popular smartphones and select feature phones.

“Already enjoyed by customers in Sweden, Norway and Finland, the TeliaSonera music service will now provide Danish users with a simple and easy way to share and synchronize music across multiple devices regardless of file format,” said Joel Espelien, Chief Business Officer at PacketVideo. “We look forward to working with TeliaSonera to further expand this innovative service to Nordic regions throughout 2009.”

PV’s solution enables TeliaSonera to customize both language and user interface appearance – or “skin” – to specific brands throughout the TeliaSonera network, providing a key branding benefit to the mobile operator. The service also incorporates PV’s proprietary SDC DRM (digital rights management) system, which ensures media usage rights are maintained in a manner that is unobtrusive to users, while making file sharing and synchronization across multiple devices possible.
