PACKETVIDEO'S PVCONNECT™ MEDIA SERVER SOFTWARE MAKES LaCIE ETHERNET DISK MINI COMPATIBLE TO BROAD UNIVERSE OF CONSUMER ELECTRONIC DEVICES

LaCie 'ED mini' First to Deliver DLNA 1.5-Certified Media Server

SAN DIEGO (Nov. 2, 2007) – PVConnect media server software, now certified by the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) as having met its 1.5 guidelines for interoperability, will make its debut in the LaCie Ethernet Disk mini, already available to consumers. PVConnect was developed by PacketVideo (PV), the multimedia software company whose software powers the world’s leading mobile entertainment services. PV is a subsidiary of NextWave Wireless Inc. (NASDAQ: WAVE).

The inclusion of PVConnect in the LaCie Ethernet Disk mini and Ethernet Big Disk enables the device to share video, music, and photos with DLNA-certified popular consumer electronic products. DLNA sets an interoperability guideline that allows compliant products to work together. PVConnect media server software has also been adapted to bring selected non-certified products into the home network, including Microsoft Xbox 360™ and Sony® PlayStation® 3 gaming consoles, the Loewe™ TV Connect and Nokia® UPnP-enabled phones like the N95, that further extend the reach of the LaCie® Ethernet Disk mini.

“We selected PVConnect for our UPnP DLNA media server for its reliability, ease of use and interoperability,” said Marie Renouard, LaCie product manager. “The user experience has been significantly enhanced thanks to PVConnect. Music, photos, and video files stored on a LaCie network drive are easily available over the network for streamed playback on connected entertainment products.”

The LaCie Ethernet Disk mini available in 320, 500 and 750GB versions, the Ethernet Big Disk available in 1, 1.5 and 2TB versions and the Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition in 500GB all include PVConnect and are available directly from LaCie.

“LaCie was a natural collaborator with PV because of its leadership in the computer peripherals market,” said Angela Scheller, Ph.D., vice president of the PV’s DLNA Product Group. “LaCie shares PV’s vision that consumers should be able to easily obtain, store, share and enjoy their content at home and beyond.”
